Oliver Cromwell

Cromwell, Oliver (1599-1658) was a very important leader, the virtual dictator of England. He played a main part in the kings trial and execution, he was also very religious.
Cromwell was a very brave solider and is famous for creating the new model army which anyone could join, instead of the previous parliaments army, where only ministers were sent out to war. He brought prosperity, liberty and peace wherever he went. Oliver also had extremely good army tactics and usually won. He was clever and very skilled at what he did and also exceedingly religious.
Oliver Cromwell had a high opinion of himself and would never listen to advice that he was given, lots of people deeply hate Cromwell for killing so many Irish and roman Catholics, for this reason and many others he is despised, he had lots of enemies.
I have come to the conclusion that Oliver Cromwell was the outstanding political and military figure of his time.
