Off the routine

I am one among many people who have a daily routine and plan for weekends and vacations well in advance. A change in some of these rituals does not effect the schedule much, but some of them change the routine itself. Talking of the rituals reminds me of an incident, where my daughter’s health changed my entire routine, causing both emotional and physical stress.
My day usually starts around 6.00am by practicing yoga for half-hour. Nitya, my little princess, goes to pre-school all five days. We get ready for the day and will be on our way to school by 9:00am. By the end of my last class at school, I am already in the traffic to pick up Nitya. We are usually home by 5:30pm and spend some time relaxing, playing, and singing rhymes together. Then comes the most important part of the day, the study hour, where we both can accomplish the work that was assigned to us.
