George is a very loyal guy. He’s taken on the job of looking after Lennie and helping him get through life. He doesn’t just leave Lennie, he tells him what’s right and what’s wrong, he has to put up with all the bad things Lennie does and he will do anything to help or save Lennie. So I think George has coped very well with Lennie in this aspect.
George is a very determined person because he is always trying his hardest to keep Lennie and himself alive and he is also determined to get the AMERICAN DREAM more than anything for him and Lennie. This involves the small shack out in the open with a bit of land that Lennie and him can grow their food on, and have animals etc. He can also get very angry and annoyed with the fact that he has to have Lennie with him for the rest of his life, which means he can’t go out and get girls or have time to himself.
