Loneliness is a part of life that is common for most characters of the story “Of Mice and Men”. Many of the helpers on the ranch are lonely which could be of many reasons depending on how you look at it. Society has a tendency to push loneliness on a few characters in “Of Mice and Men”. Crooks and Candy are both lonely because society forced the loneliness upon them by certain actions and statements.
