Odyssey a Hero

"After careful consideration of some of the harrowing events of The Iliad, The Odyssey, and The Aeneid and of the three great warrior kings who are the stars of those great tales, I have concluded that if I had to serve under one of those heroes I would choose Odyssey. Being attacked by one-eyed monsters, huge storms, a giant sea dragon, and scores of angry men were just a few of Odyssey perils that had to be overcome. He did not only overcome them, but he did it in a way that would forever be thought of as heroic. Odysseus, the epic hero of Homer’s Odyssey shows how the Greek ideal of leadership, bravery, and devotion to the gods. Odysseus was a great leader and showed his leadership ability many times. There were times when his men were ready to give up and accept their fate.
