Odesseus' personal struggle

Odyseus has the option of returning home, or remaining where he is, with the nymph Calypso. The trip home consists of twenty hard days on a raft, while if he stays he will be immortal, and continue his relationship with Calypso, the nymph. Odyseus chooses to attempt the trip home out of fear of the gods, love for his home, and pride of his accomplishments.
