Nursing

When I was five years old, my great-grandmother suffered from her fourth stroke. Since my parents consistently worked to support our family, I spent much of my youth with my grandparents and great-grandparents. For the rest of my life, I will never forget the time I spent with my great-grandmother, Theresa. After her last stroke I remember standing near her bedside and holding a pan under her chin as she suffered from illness. As she lay in her bed, I held her hand and prayed with her until she passed away. Since I was a child, I have been compelled to aid those in need. My compassionate spirit and inner strength inspire me to serve and extend my heart to others.
As I have grown older, my dedication and passion for others continues to shine through. I feel blessed because my mother is both my inspiration and my role model.
