Nuclear Reactions

Chemical reactions happen everywhere. They are all around us and in everything we do. However there is a special kind of reaction that only happens under certain circumstances. These extraordinary reactions are called nuclear reactions and need special atmospheres to be produced. There are a few main types of nuclear reactions, some being safe and clean, and others being dangerous, unfortunately, sometimes deadly. The first type of nuclear reaction is Radioactive Decomposition. This is the simplest and least dangerous form of nuclear reactions. In this reaction, an atom slowly decomposes releasing nucleons and mild traces of alpha particles. This reaction is slow, but after a significant amount of nucleons are released, a new element is formed. While the element has changed to form a new one, the make of the atom is similar to the previous one. The next form of nuclear reaction we’ll talk about is Artificial Transmutation. In this reaction, an atom is compl...
