Now I Finally Realize

I stand at the corner of the bus stop alone with my thoughts. My first

thought is that I’m freezing. The cold wind is torture against my already numb

face. My nose is running so I wipe it off with the sleeve of my brand new black

expensive jacket. “When is the bus going to get here?” I think silently to myself.

Suddenly I hear loud shouting. Alarmed, I look around trying to locate the

source of the commotion and I finally spot it. It’s those three troublesome boys

again. Always throwing, shouting, swearing and disturbing others.

Their unlucky victim was a girl I knew. Well, I didn’t actually know her but

she was in my class. She was the quiet, lonely little geek who sat at the back of the

classroom, drawing pictures on her pants. Short, bony with a mousy face, she

looked fragile and helpless and was the perfect victim ...
