Exploding Stars
Amidst the readings of The Three Big Bangs, there are (obviously) three main topics that the book by Phillip Dauber and Richard Muller touches on. They are told in reverse chronological order from the crash of a comet or asteroid that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs and cleared the way for the evolution, to the explosion of a supernova, and finally to the “Big Bang” that created an entire universe. I will concentrate on the explosion of a supernova.
I chose The Three Big Bangs because I have always been interested in astronomy as well as the origins of our existence. Though I believe in some religious theory I do believe that there was more to the creation of the universe then God saying “poof”. With this thought in mind I find it stimulating to find out how we came to be at this point in history. Because I have an interest in the subject matter I will write a more zealous essay.
