Interview with a Vietnam Veteran

I talked to my boyfriend’s father, who was a Navy Sea Bee, about the Vietnam War. He told me that they were mostly responsible for construction, reconstruction and
electrical stuff. He was in the war from 1969-1970 and was mostly in Saigon, the capital
of Vietnam. He was never hurt himself, but he said that guys right next to him were killed
and he lost a lot of friends. He said that the Vietnamese were extremely brutal; they
would send children up to the soldiers with grenades behind there back.
