No More Curfew
Curfews have been around for hundreds of years. They originated for the public good; to get youth offenders off the streets. Anyone who is under the age of seventeen, by state law, is required to be off the streets by twelve o’clock. Most parents aren’t thinking about crime when it comes to curfew. All they know is, they had it when the were younger. Without considering , parents make a curfew out of routine. Maybe it should be based on how well they trust their child or have no curfew at all. My parents should get rid of my curfew, because I am over seventeen. There isn’t a legitimate reason to have a set time of being home. As far as parents are concerned, they don’t want their child out partying and having to worry about it. That’s not the whole picture, we like to party, but we just want the freedom and the trust from our parents. Everyone fears or finds difficulty in the things they don’t understand. Parents need to trust their child...
