Compare a broadsheet with a tabloid.
The most obvious difference between the two is the size of them, the tabloid is half the size of the broadsheet paper. The tabloid looks a lot easier to read than the broadsheet, which gives the impression that the broadsheet is more formal than tabloid.
The tabloid has a less formal approach to things and talks to the audience/reader as if they are friends, it is informal. E.g. ‘The Turks get up Beckham’s nose’
There is a lot more colours on the tabloids front cover than on the broadsheet, which draws in more attention, the Headline is also a lot bigger than on the broadsheet.
The tabloid is more of a ‘gossip’ paper, it has more about celebrities and peoples lives than the broadsheet has, where has the broadsheet has more about politics than other things.
