Introduction- What was the Negro Baseball League and why isn’t there one now?

I. First Negro league established on February 13, 1920
A. Founded by Andrew “Rube” Foster
B. There were different Negro leagues like NAL, ECL, and NNL
II. The ECL collapsed in the spring of 1928
A. Reemerged in 1929 as the American Negro League
B. Negro Southern league was the only team to survive 1932 season
III. Negro Leagues played World Series and also created their own All-star game in 1933
A. Their world series was held between the NNL and ECL 1924-1927
B. The All-star game was known as the East-West game
C. All-star game was held at Comiskey park
IV. The benefits of Negro League Baseball was opening the door of opportunity for other black baseball players
