Nazi Germany

Europa Europa is a brilliant, methodical and horrific movie that is based on a true story. Agnieszka Holland (director) leads a large cast staring Marce Hofschneider, Julie Delpy and Hanns Zishler. Europa Europa is a movie about the Second World War and its effect on a young Jewish boy.

In this film you are introduced to a young boy in a Jewish family. This family is very close and happy until the night of the broken glass when their shop was destroyed and the young boy’s sister was killed. The young boy and the rest of the family mourned her death and soon decided to travel to Poland. When the war began and Germany broke the Nazi Soviet Pact, the young boy and his older brother were ordered to leave their new home and head east. They left unwillingly and were soon separated. The young boy was captured by the Germans and sent to the Hitler Youth school under a false identity. Time passed by and nearing the end of the war he is given a gun and ordered to attack the Russians...
