Nature vs. Nurture

How did you become the person that you are? Was it your genes or what happened to you as you grew up? Is the behavior of people due to their Nature (or genetics) or to their Nurture (or environment)? I will be discussing the differences between nature and nurture and whether or not the behavior of people is due to their nature or nurture.
Do you believe that one’s behaviors are due to uncontrollable genetic impulses? Caught in a love affair or stealing? I guess instead of saying “the devil made me do it” you could argue that “it runs in the family” which may be true. But what if people were no longer held accountable for their actions? Would society be even possible? The role of nature versus nurture is the basis of public debate such as genetic roles, homosexuality, and individuals’ inclination towards violence.
