Enterprise architecture (EA) is not a new idea, but it is being fostered and applied in new,
innovative ways within today’s leading organizations. A truly useful EA program must
move beyond technology to encompass business issues, and enhance the relationship
between IT and the business. This chapter covers the positioning of the EA program
