My Trip to Manakamana Temple

On a sunny morning of early July, I was climbing up the hill towards one of the famous temple of Nepal, Manakamana temple. The Manakamana temple is situated on a hill of 1,334 yards (1,220m) in Gorkha District and is 74 miles (120km) west of Kathmandu. It is believed that Manakamana is the goddess who fulfils all our wishes and protects us from evil powers. I was traveling with my uncle. It was a cool sunny morning and was a perfect day for traveling. I was enjoying the natural beauty of the place. I could hear the roaring of the rushing water below. I was afraid of the height, so I felt somewhat frightening to look down over the river.

After three hours of continuous walking we reached the top of the hill where the temple was situated. We bought flowers and other necessary materials to worship the goddess Manakamana. Then we headed for a restaurant where we could eat something because we could not eat anything until we had worshiped the go...
