THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION IN MY WORKPLACE


Communication occurs everyday and every moment in our lives. Without communication, we will face many problems, such as problem in disseminating the information to the people surrounding us. Actually, what is communication? What is the definition of the communication? Raymond Ross said that communication is a process involving the sorting, selecting, and sending of symbols in such a way to help a listener perceive and recreate in his own mind the meaning contained in the mind of the communicator. Therefore we can say that communication involves the creation of meaning and it involves the transfer of information through the use of symbols, which can be verbal or nonverbal or both. Communication involves thousands of potential stimuli and the stimuli become a message when the individual assigns it a meaning.
