My leadership experience

Over the past few years I have been doing quite a bit of reflecting on my experiences in High School. While academics have been a high priority for me, I am a firm believer in a total education, both inside and outside the classroom. Through my experiences as a student leader, I have had a very different kind of education. I have planned programs from start to finish, coordinated groups of diverse and opinionated people towards a common vision, and learned what it means to work towards a common end; from an idea to a practical end.
My first real emotional leadership experience came during my freshman year as I became a member of Peer Mediation. The memories both the good and the bad, the challenging and exciting - are something that I will never forget.
