My horrible soundtrack project

Chapter 13 of Persuasion is a time of reflection on past occurrences that describe the characters of Mary and Lady Russell, Austen also contrasts the traits of various characters. I choose the song, “She don’t know me” by Bon Jovi; it accurately symbolizes the events in the chapter not on a literal level, (there is little or no relation to the passage in the book if comprehended literally), but metaphorically and on a theme level.
The main theme embodied in the text that is evident in the song, is of the evolving stereotype of the gentleman. Austen describes two very different versions of the English gentleman. Sir Walter is the traditional, land-owning, aristocratic man who avoids work and seeks comfort. Admiral Croft is a working naval officer who has made his own fortune.
