It was not long after I came to the United States that I was living with my uncle and I started to spend the whole day and weekends at home. I did not know how to drive a car in the United States except for the fact that I had been driving in Ethiopia for the last two years. I knew that everything, including the traffic rules and regulations, and the way the roads were built, was completely different. Despite being a stranger to everything, I could not resist the temptation to take my uncle‘s car keys that he forgot to take, on this particular day. I remembered being at the North Park Mall, which was only with in two miles of my uncle’s home. I knew of a few shops I could go into and a coffee shop to sit and read a little.
