My Firs Car

I waited anxiously for the clock to wind down to trigger the closing bell of the pistachio factory. I’ve been working at the factory for two months and today was the last day of my summer vacation job. The only thing that stood between the exit and me was the ringing of the closing bell to make it official. I was excited thinking about the opportunities that waited for me beyond those exit doors. I worked most of that summer, and only had a month to enjoy the rest of my summer vacation. I had turned sixteen, recently got my drivers license, and I was buying my first car that afternoon. I was willing to spend every penny that I had saved to be able to drive around on my own, instead of riding the bus, asking my parents for a ride or walking. Finally the clock struck four and the closing bell sounded off. The sound was music to my ears, like a slot machine going off after hitting a jackpot.
Immediately after I left the factory, I met with my father and we drove to the house ...
