My Favorite Leisure Experience

My single most memorable leisure experience I ever had was when I went hiking on a Fifth of July. My Auntie Bean and her husband, Mike, decided that they wanted to bring along a kid to share a hiking experience with. I had shown interest in the activity and was psyched to go. So along with another couple, Donna and Reed, and their daughter about my age, Kelly, we went on an overnight hiking trip on East Royce Mountain.

We left on the third of July, hopeful that it wasn’t going to rain. We arrived in Bethel, Maine, to see that it was about to rain. It rained that night and into the fourth. The weather began clearing up that night so we were able to see the local fireworks. I was getting along with Kelly and we were having a lot of fun getting to know each other.
