My barbershop experience

The place I love the most is the barbershop. In the barbershop what fascinated me the most was how many different people would come to get the different haircuts. The barbershop is a place I could can go and meet all kinds of different people. It is also a place where you can learn to play checkers, talk about sports, and gossip too.
Growing up in Philadelphia, my father would always take me with him to the shop; I was about five years old when he started showing me around. I remember my first experience, it was during the summer, and we woke up about 6 a.m. to open the shop at 8 a.m. It was a very exciting time for me because it was my first time going to the shop. This would be the first of many trips to the barbershop. My first thought was that I would have a lot of fun, but I soon found out it wasn’t that exciting at all. I was very bored because there wasn’t much for a five year old to do.
