Music Therapy
Music therapy has become common in modern medical practice, but its use is not limited

there, it is also effective in our everyday lives. Listening to music is a good way to induce

relaxation, lessen depression, anxiety, lower stress levels, and it has shown to be helpful in pain

management.

Music Therapy has been shown to influence pulse, blood pressure, and the electrical

activity of muscles. Because high blood pressure weakens the heart resulting in heart attacks,

strokes, atherosclosis, kidney failure, and damage to nearly every organ in the body, using music

therapy early on can greatly reduce the risk of hypertension. Also, music influences the electrical

activity of muscles releasing tension and allowing the body to relax.

Studies show that soothing and lyrical music can lessen depression, anxiety, and also
