Multicultural Marketing Comuunicagions - McDonald, western view VS. eastern view

1) Visit an eating establishment different from your culture.

I went to McDonald’s. In my perception about McDonald’s, McDonald’s is a kind of symbols of American culture. Eating in McDonald’s let me experience many different cultural aspects from Korean culture. McDonald’s menu also reflects some parts of American culture.

2) Attempt to isolate the rituals and messages that might influence perceptions of the members of another culture. Discuss the ways beliefs and values of the chosen culture are transmitted.

Individualism
Customers order foods at the register individually and many of customers take their foods out. McDonald’s offer the Drive-through service that allows customers who do not want to waist their time for parking and walking in the store have more individual convenience.
Quickness
Those hamburgers, fries, nuggets, and other foods sold in McDonald’s are pre-made mass production. Clerks just heat or mix pre-made foods and put them in order by ...
