Multicultural education has become a very important topic here in America. This topic is very important, because our nation is composed of many people with different ethnicities. With the growth of society teachers are putting more emphasizes on requiring multicultural literature in school curriculums. Learning about different cultures and understanding the beliefs of others may help reduce racial issues. If students learn at an early age about many different cultures it is more likely for them to accept people from different ethnicities.
One of the methods used to allow a better understanding of different ethnicities is by exposing small children to a diverse environment. This method should start at home.
