Mu’Lan Response

The poem “Mulan” has no known author. It contains the story of a girl who disguises herself as a male to become part of the Chinese army, which at the time shunned females. The poem is significant in that it shows that there should be no reason to discriminate against people, regardless of gender, as long as they can hold their own in all situations.
