Australia’s first experience at war was a valuable lesson to Australia and to the world. It showed many cruel aspects to war. It taught countries how important preparation is, as shown in the movie Gallipoli where a simple thing like the bombers and the Australian troops watches showing a different time made a large difference. Australia did show a lot of courage in a ridiculous attempt to break through the Turks defenses but they were mowed down with machine guns as they ran out of the trenches and tried to muscle into the Turks trenches.
