Movie analyzed: “Office Space”

Peter Gibbons was an office slave like everyone else, and he hated his routine life. One day the occupational therapist, who was hypnotizing him, keels over dead, leaving him with a permanently changed attitude. When asked to come in to his job on weekends, he responded by coming in only when he wanted to, playing games on his computer and moving the office furniture around to give himself a better view. Instead of firing him, the company takes this oddness as evidence of his need to become a manager.

I was very excited about analyzing this movie and trying to figure out what it really was that drew so many different people to it. I watched this movie approximately ten times just for this paper, not counting the times I watched it before that, just for pure pleasure. I particularly started to notice angles, colors, costumes, and sound as I watched it over and over again. These are the four technical elements that I will be talking about in this paper.
