The Most Democratic Voting System

I personally believe the most democratic voting system is in fact not the system of the “most democratic” United States but the majority vote we use in Canada. The United States voting system goes by an electoral vote which is not necessarily the majority vote. This does not always mean that the person with the most votes gets elected. The Presidential election is decided by the combined results of 51 State elections and not one nation wide vote. The individual citizen’s vote is important to the outcome of each state election but not the election of the president since you vote only helps decide which candidate receives your state’s electoral vote.
