Money

Money has an enormous impact on how people make decisions. People are bombarded in society with visions of being extremely happy if they have lots of money. There is always some form of the desire for wealth in the decisions that most people make everyday. The two books that I studied: skinny legs and all by Tom Robbins and Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, both had examples that money is a dominant influence on peoples lives.

People only views things in terms of how they will benefit them financially.

"They don't get it," complained Boomer. "Can't they comprehend that not everything's done for a paycheck? That sometimes you just make a thing' cause you wanna see how it'll turn out, ' cause you have a feeling in your gut that it oughta be made?" (Robbins, 117)
