Misjudged Youth in Contemporary America

Punk (pungk) n. Slang a young inexperienced boy. Adj. Of or relating to bizarre style of clothing; relating to punk rock bands. (Webster’s Dictionary) When most people think of the term “punk” they automatically refer to the dictionary definition without even realizing it, and in a sense prejudging those associated as punks. There are several horrifically unjust stereotypes associated with punks. Although most people do see punks as degenerate, uneducated, troublemakers; they also may be seen as misfits simply looking for a scene where they can be accepted for who they are and not what they look like.
