Strolling through the Memorial Art Gallery I ‘m looking for THE 1 piece of Art which catches my attention to write my term paper about . After discovering all the different rooms they have I’m making my decision for this one painting I saw on the first floor.
First of all it’s the whole painting’s color appearance which makes me stop and look at it closer .The colors are held in a pastel range , further the pose of the person in the painting is so welcoming , I have to look. It shows a man standing in an addict room left and right from him shelves full of paintings .
Nothing else . Just him in that addict room surrounded by paintings .
He’s standing in between and has this expansive and inviting gesture, with wide open arms and about to take a step in the viewers direction, that seems to say “ welcome to my world, take a look at it !”.
