Messy Room

Telling sentence: Her room was a mess.
Shelly had invited me to her house so we can study on a big exam we had coming for history class. I walked in her house and headed up the stairs. Every step I had taken sounded like I was going to sink down to the basement. When we hit halfway up the stairs there’s was a door ahead of us that had a poster with a hideous clown face with an evil grin and red spiky hair with black eyes. She warned me that her room might be a tad messy, and I replied, “No problem my room’s dirty too.” She had to put up a fight opening the door that made a screeching noise while opening it.
