Mending Wall

The poem Mending Wall by Robert Frost in general tells us how nature wants to break the barriers between human beings and also the many differences between society. The poet¡¦s intention in writing this poem is to deliver his message about how obstinate people can be in society. The central idea of the poem is all on nature and how nature tries to accomplish its mission by breaking the wall down just to bond the human relationship.
The theme of this poem is the difference between society and this can be seen when the narrator describes his neighbour as ¡§old-stone savage¡¨ which shows that the neighbour is still living in the stone age and still follows the old tradition of having a wall. The narrator is completely the opposite of the neighbour as he thinks afresh and looks towards a new beginning as he finally realized that ¡§we do not need the wall¡¨ and he feels that there is also something that wants that wall down too.

In this poem, Frost uses nature as the unknown...
