Menard is a show stopper

Velvet Devil is an Aborginal play presented by the Saskatchewan Native Theatre Company that deals with many real issues. Andrea Menard, the main character and the creator of the play, plays a young girl from the 1930's who reaches for her dreams and loses touch of her roots and background. Velvet Devil is unique in the way that Menard expresses her emotions and actions through jazz music which is accompained by musicians; Lee Kozak, Murray Dubray, and Bill Watson.
