memory

Memory is an important part of being a human being. It can be defined as the retention of prior experiences in such a way that they influence future behavior. Without memory we would not be able to learn. We wouldn’t know what happened yesterday or even a few minutes ago. There are three stages to memory, acquisition, retention, and retrieval. Retrieval is what is usually referred to when we talk about memory. If someone studies a subject all night, but can’t retrieve any of the information for a test, then they don’t remember it.
One fact about memory is that it is not perfect. We can’t remember everything. In fact, we forget most of the things that we see throughout the day. There are many factors that go into what we remember and what we forge...
