It is in our everyday lives and is almost unavoidable. The problem is that children are watching it whether or not we want them to. Violence shows up on almost everything they watch, including cartoons. This is why media violence is leading to aggression and increased violent activities in children. Some are trying to fight this problem. Others are ignoring it and hoping it will go away. Still others don’t seem to care, and its a shame because media violence does affect children. In Alabama, a nine-year-old boy received a bad report card from his teacher. He suggested sending the teacher poisoned candy as revenge as he had seen on television the night before.
