As we look at Ritzer’s The Mcdonaldlization of Society, he describes a rationalization that has taken place in the American culture. He refers to it as the “McDonaldlization of Society.” This rationalization has sparked from the western culture and is now making way all over the world. Ritzer characterizes this rationalization by dividing it into five different parts. These different dimensions are predictability, calculability, substitution, of nonhuman for human technology, and control over uncertainty. Ritzer believes that this rationalization can be applied to different aspects in our society.
