The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn a book of our time

In the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the author Mark Twain explores many subjects. Some of the biggest are alcoholism, racism, religion, and adoption. We are still dealing with these issues today. That really does make this novel a book of out time. It relates to our time and society.
One issue that is a major problem today that is covered in the book is alcoholism. Alcoholism is a very serious issue. It leads to many deaths and problems. Today we now know that is can cause liver failure. It also affects people that drive because when they drink and drive that is a very dangerous. It also causes many problems within the family. In the book it tore Huck and his father apart. They could never get along because Pap was always drinking and getting drunk. When Pap did get drunk he would beat Huck.
