1. Why was Bower¡¦s ¡§One-Firm¡¨ policy so important to McKinsey¡¦s success?
What¡¦s Bower¡¦s ¡§One-Firm¡¨ policy: ¡§require all consultants to be recruited and advanced on a firm - wide basis, clients to be treated as McKinsey & Company responsibilities, and profits to be shared from a firm pool, not an office pool¡¨.
As we can see, Bower¡¦s ¡§One-Firm¡¨ policy was such as an important policy to McKinsey¡¦s success, because of 3 reasons as bellow:
- Firstly, by the time Bower began working for McKinsey, the firm has been established only for 6 years, and trying to build its both image and reputation in the industry of efficiency experts. Bower¡¦s policy help the firm to change its desire into reality, by other words, Bower helped the firm setting professional standards that lasting effectively for long time.
