McBeth

Act I Scene i

The three witches meet during a storm. At the end of the day they sat that they’ll meet Macbeth on the heath. They then leave because they’re being called.


Act I Scene ii

Duncan wants to know what has happened at the battle. Malcolm tells the king that Macbeth did a good job. He told him how brave Macbeth was and that he cut off one of the Norwegian’s heads and put it on his flag, then waved it around as a sign of victory. Rosse, a thane, tells the king that they won the battle and that the Thane of Cawdor betrayed them. They charged the Norwegians ten thousand dollars to come and get their dead soldiers. Macbeth will become the Thane of Cawdor.


Act I Scene iii

The witches meet each other and ask what each has been doing. One of the witches (Witch 1) tells her story about the woman who wouldn’t give her a chestnut when she asked for one. When the woman refuses to give the witch a chestnut, the witch gets angry. She tells the other w...
