The Perfect World vs. Evil Technology/Robots
The Matrix is a film that astounds not only with action and special effects but also with ideas. Within the story line also lie philosophical and religious theme, ideas and symbolism throughout the whole movie. In the film The Matrix, epistemology, metaphysics, faith and religion is shown throughout this essay answering the questions behind what the human perceives are reality, illusions, in the movie, how we know what we know is real, and the religious and faith meanings behind the characters and the storyline using philosophers as a part of this movie analysis.

The Matrix is, at its core, a film with a moral plot. We, the viewers, like the heroes, are in on a secret: The reality that forms the lives of millions of human beings is not real. The world that seems real to most people is in fact a computer-generated simulation, but almost no one knows it.
