Maths Coursework

I am planning to look into the relationship between age and IQ in a group of school children. I have been given a spreadsheet of information, provided by the exam board. I can presume that this information is accurate because it is part of this schools record of their pupils.
In this instance I will check that my sample is as accurate as possible by ensuring that;
None of the IQ¡¯s in my sample are negative or above 200 and that no heights are above 2.5m or below 70cm as these are not likely scores for children in this age group and would be exceptional so would effect the general picture of the whole group


I predict that as the age increases so will the IQ

I will run a preliminary test for this enquiry to ensure that there is some kind of relationship to investigate. For this test I will use the first 25 children on my spreadsheet and by plotting a graph of these I can see if there is a connection between the age and IQ.
