INTRODUCTION

Every radioactive element has a characteristic time called half-life. The aim of this assignment is to investigate the effect of half-life under the influence of heating, cooling and the varying of the number of bearings. To do this an experiment will be conducted using a cardboard box with holes cut out from the base. By tilting the apparatus bearings will be sifted through the holes. The bearings represent the atoms, whereas the number of tilts corresponds to the number of days/years.
