Maslow in my Life

Knowledge of Abraham Maslow helps me to make better loving decisions. Maslow is a professor that explains human needs, universal and hierarchical. They can be explained in the form of a pyramid. Human needs start with physiological- human nourishment, shelter water, human touch, air, and sleep. Next on the pyramid is safety. Safety is the freedom from overwhelming fear/anxiety. This could be a father who drinks or a bully at school. Then comes belonging, to be a valued member of a group. Next is esteem. Esteem is freedom and independence such as when you get your license or a job you feel more independent. Then comes meaning which makes you feel important, such as when you are part of a group. Finally you reach full human personhood. Knowledge of Maslow and these human needs allow to make better loving decisions because you now know how to realize what human need a person is trying...
