MARY MACKILLOP
(1842 - 1909)

Mary MacKillop was a great believer in God the father and her Christian religion. Her teachings have influenced so many people and through her faith she has publicized her viewpoints without fear from the Catholic Church. Mary MacKillop has taught so many people about catholic morals and initiated her own grouping of followers called the Josephites. She has been through ruff times in the course of her life starting from a when she was a child to when she was an older woman, but still she had managed to follow in the Christian way.
Mary MacKillop was born in Melbourne in the year of 1842. Her family wasn’t wealthy and it was a troubled time for her family. Her father by this time had spent the family fortune so the way that her family got through was by relying on relatives. Mary MacKillop left home to work when she was fourteen years of age and when she got the money she earned she would give it to her family as support.
