Walking up the ramp in the blistering heat up to the tiny portable, I was greeted by a friendly blast of air conditioning. I froze in the doorway, scanning the room for a face-any face that looked familiar. I found one, and I sat down next to it. We both exchanged grateful smiles. Relief set over my body like a cool blanket on a hot summer’s night. Glancing around the room, I found a face that looked so familiar, with cute red hair and freckles to match. It was like I had known it forever. I stared for a while, until I noticed she was giving the same look of confusion. We both quickly looked away.
